History

Originally started after World War II in Japan, Fujinkai was formed by its founder Madame Kujo Takeko, daughter of Abbot Kozui Otani. In 1967, when the temple was located on Culver Blvd., Venice Hongwanji's Fujinkai was formed with a few members of Issei ladies.
